Joseph Michael Roessler is a pianist, composer, and educator from Boulder, CO with over 10 years of experience in music. Roessler is a multi-disciplinary musician who’s composition and performance includes jazz, rock, musical theater, opera, classical, sacred, and electronic styles. Performance highlights include Arise Music Festival, Absolem Music Festival, as well as other local and international events. Roessler coached and produced many artists throughout the United States and Europe. He worked directly with EKG, Sylence, Ginza, and others on their releases. Roessler’s contributions with these artists reached millions of international listeners. Roessler currently accompanies and coaches students at Denver School of the Arts and Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy. Roessler is also the rehearsal pianist for the Take Note! ensemble from the Denver Women’s Chorus. In addition to performing, coaching, accompanying, and writing, Roessler maintains his own piano studio in Boulder.
Roessler studied music with Professor Andrew Cooperstock, Dr. Anthony Green, Daniel Weidlein, Rochelle Gallup, and Marianna Goldstein. Roessler earned his Bachelors of English Literature magna cum laude from the University of Colorado Denver in May 2019. His undergraduate honors thesis described contemporary misconceptions about the Gnostics. Roessler completed his thesis under the direction of Professor Sharon Coggan, Professor Pompa Banerjee, and Professor Michelle Comstock. For more information, visit joeroessler.com
